Tis the season to Gobble Gobble

Did October go way fast for anyone else? Well, the day before it snowed here in Logan, Jordon and I were able to get some baby-bump pics taken. This is the only one I've seen so far. I can't wait to get the CD back. Baby makes me laugh. He kicks all the time and it's hilarious. Why didn't anyone tell me how fun it is to be pregnant. Okay, it has it's ups and downs, but man, his kicks are so funny.

One time: it was morning, all quiet, and I went to the computer and pushed a button that ended up making a really loud noise, and I feel this huge jump in my belly. I scared the baby! Haha, I felt bad...then I giggled.

On Monday: I was teaching. I was holding a violin like a guitar and plucking the notes out that I wanted my student to sing (because they don't have a piano). The vibrations of the violin must have felt funny to baby boy. He was kicking the violin away from my belly. So funny.

When I teach: He kicks/dances more when certain people sing. I don't know if he likes their voice or doesn't like it, but he sure dances during the same ones every week :)

Life is good, here in Logan.

Wow, I kind of feel like I'm getting fatter.

Well, it's official. Since this time last year I have gained about 40 pounds....what? How is that possible? Well, as some of you may know, last summer I lost 20 pounds training for a half marathon. That was great while it lasted. Between living in Disneyworld for 4 months, going to Europe for a couple of weeks, and being pregnant...I guess that's what I get huh? I'm a spoiled little bum so I get punished by getting fat....hehe. Life is so great. Whenever I start to get stressed out, or feel pity for myself, a little nudge inside my belly brings me back to reality. Oh, those little nudges are so MAGICAL! They make me smile every time :)

17 Weeks along :)

Sorry it's blurry :(
This is me today :) I have a little bump. I'm getting to the point where I can't even zip up any of my pants anymore. I have some stretch marks (I think that's a curse because some girls tell me they never got stretch marks). Oh well, I think they are cute (I'm trying to be optimistic here). I felt the baby move for the first time a couple of days ago :) It's so exciting. I find out what it is on August 26th.....

May, Europe, I'm Pregnant!!!

So, a couple of months ago my family went to the awesome countries of Spain, France, Switzerland, and Italy. It was an incredible experience. We did firesides in each city that we visited, and got to see some things as well. We had many experiences where investigators would be at the fireside and then want to learn more about the church after the fireside. It was a good missionary experience. Pictures to come soon. We didn't get much sleep while we were there so it was kind of hard. I want to share two experiences. On one of the firesides, a girl came up to me after and said "Can I hug you?" I said "Yes of course" She held me for 5 minutes and wouldn't let go. She was crying. She let go of me and looked at me and said "When you sang, I realized that Jesus loves me". It was a very touching moment. There were many like this one.

Another cool story: we did a fireside in France. Afterwards, Jordon and I were staying with the young bishop of the ward. We were walking into his place and he said "are you pregnant?" I was kind of taken off guard because I didn't think I was. I said "I don't know" He said "No?"...he thought I said no and he was embarrassed. Then I said "No, I don't know...I could be". He said "I think you are, when you were singing the spirit told me that you are". I was kind of weirded out, but it was kind of cool at the same time. He said he'd had experiences like that before where he could tell that a woman was pregnant before she knew.

So, we got home from Europe, took a pregnancy test and couldn't believe our eyes! I'm pregnant!

Water for Elephants

I love Elephants. I can't describe how deep my love is for them. They are smart, cute, playful, adorable, awesome, funny, great, large, amazing, breath-taking, inspiring, and the list goes on. You must think I am crazy, but this is serious business. Jordon and I went to see the movie "Water for Elephants" last night. It is now officially my favorite movie. I cried when the mean guy hurt Rosie :( I also cried at the end of the movie the entire way home for no reason. Jordon was like "I have never seen you cry after a movie before"....and it's true. I don't really cry much. But man, I was just so happy after that movie that I balled my eyes out the whole way home!!! Oh Elephants.

The little things that make me giggle inside.

So, yesterday I was walking down campus on my way home from teaching voice at the university. All of a sudden, it started to snow/hail. In any other setting I might have been annoyed at the weather, but I was really happy for some reason. These little pebbles of joy were bouncing off of my head and crunching under my feet. They made me so happy. Then I look down and there is this tiny little baby sock on the ground, I had to let out a little giggle at that. I love little baby stuff, and to see a sock in the middle of the sidewalk? Man, who wouldn't laugh? Then, I see all of these track guys running down the sidewalk trying to dodge the hail, haha, and they are in these tiny shorts. Haha, I'm glad I'm not them. Then 20 seconds later it is clear again. No more pebbles falling on my head. Uh, what just happened? Logan weather.

A lot of times Jordon will use the little kid voice to talk to me. It's hilarious. He talks like a little girl and says "Hewwoo Angera" oh man, that pulls my heart-strings. It's so dang adorable. He hates when I call him cute, but my husband is so cute! I just want to squeeze his cheeks some times. But he would kill me because he doesn't like me to touch his face.
