Water for Elephants

I love Elephants. I can't describe how deep my love is for them. They are smart, cute, playful, adorable, awesome, funny, great, large, amazing, breath-taking, inspiring, and the list goes on. You must think I am crazy, but this is serious business. Jordon and I went to see the movie "Water for Elephants" last night. It is now officially my favorite movie. I cried when the mean guy hurt Rosie :( I also cried at the end of the movie the entire way home for no reason. Jordon was like "I have never seen you cry after a movie before"....and it's true. I don't really cry much. But man, I was just so happy after that movie that I balled my eyes out the whole way home!!! Oh Elephants.

The little things that make me giggle inside.

So, yesterday I was walking down campus on my way home from teaching voice at the university. All of a sudden, it started to snow/hail. In any other setting I might have been annoyed at the weather, but I was really happy for some reason. These little pebbles of joy were bouncing off of my head and crunching under my feet. They made me so happy. Then I look down and there is this tiny little baby sock on the ground, I had to let out a little giggle at that. I love little baby stuff, and to see a sock in the middle of the sidewalk? Man, who wouldn't laugh? Then, I see all of these track guys running down the sidewalk trying to dodge the hail, haha, and they are in these tiny shorts. Haha, I'm glad I'm not them. Then 20 seconds later it is clear again. No more pebbles falling on my head. Uh, what just happened? Logan weather.

A lot of times Jordon will use the little kid voice to talk to me. It's hilarious. He talks like a little girl and says "Hewwoo Angera" oh man, that pulls my heart-strings. It's so dang adorable. He hates when I call him cute, but my husband is so cute! I just want to squeeze his cheeks some times. But he would kill me because he doesn't like me to touch his face.

Weird Night....hmmm

So, last night at about 4 am there was all of a sudden this really loud dripping sound on our window. It woke Jordon up and that's not normal! I was confused. I looked at my phone and it was 1 degree outside....literally! How could anything be dripping in this weather?! Well, I put some earplugs in and it kind of helped...not really though. After about 20 minutes of this I went outside around our apartment complex to see what was going on. Sure enough, there were icicles dripping above our window onto our window. I'm still confused about the whole situation. Doesn't water melt at 30 degrees or higher? It was weird. So I finally just dug my earplugs farther into my ears and went to sleep :)

The Funny Marriage Pet Peeves!

It's a little different around the LeBaron home when it comes to pet peeves. 

The normal pet peeves would be:

"He squeezes from the top of the toothpaste tube"

"He leaves dishes in the sink un-rinsed"

"He puts the toilet paper on upside-down"

But funnily enough, we both squeeze from the top of the toothpaste! No pet peeve there. Dishes...well, we try to accommodate both of our laziness. And I'm supposedly the one who puts the toilet paper on upside-down.

Here are the scenarios in the LeBaron home:

Recently, Jordon has been singing "Oh What a Beautiful Mornin'" in the shower every day, it's been stuck in his head. Every time he gets to the line "and it looks like it's climbing clear up to the sky" (talking about the corn) he says "and it looks like WE'RE climbing clear up to the sky"! That doesn't even make sense! I've corrected him so many times it drives me in sane! Now he just does it to bug me...oh great. 

Another one Jordon likes to pull on me is...

He'll be playing a hymn on the piano, going along like everything is great, then he'll end the song on the second to last note!!! Then he just walks away from the piano! He ends on the five chord! He knows it drives me insane and he does it just to get me.

Day After Valentines!!!

In our family we don't celebrate Valentines Day, we celebrate the day after Valentines! The reason being 

A. It is officially the anniversary of our first date, hand hold, cuddle and kiss!

B. It's way less busy than Valentines day when it comes to restaurants.

C. Valentines gifts are half off!!!!

D. It was Jordon's idea and he's a genius!

It has officially been 3 years since our first date!!!!

Exception: This year we are to busy on the day after so we actually had to celebrate on the day of...but that's beside the point. 

Our first date was at Chili's...mmmm home of the baby- back ribs. 

Another reason to celebrate the day after "kids eat free at chili's the day after Valentines"....uhhhh, that might come in handy one day....and I am NOT announcing anything, I promise.

Goodbye Disney World!!!! :(

So I decided I should probably catch up on life and let everyone know that we had a good Christmas in Disney world. The sad part was that we had to work on Christmas, but we had the morning to open presents. I got an elephant and named it Luna. I love my new elephant it's awesome! Jordon got a Ravenclaw scarf from me, and a Mickey Football signed by Mickey :) We had some fun watching fireworks on the beach laying in a hammock before New Years. Jordon had to work on New Years Eve so we celebrated before. Then, after our last day of work on the 5th, we road-tripped it home (38-hour drive) on January 6th. We started driving at midnight on the 6th, drove through 2 nights switching off and got home on the 8th at 10 am. Jordon started school on the 10th and I jumped right into work. I have 30 students, I work for my bro Brennon online, and I work for my cousin Candice visiting people with a medical device. Jordon had his opera Julius Caesar in January....that was crazy and unexpected. Lynn (our opera director) gave him a part to learn and perform in 2 weeks. Now it is Valentines day and we are excited for the events planned this evening...will update later.

Church

So, for the past 3 months I have been attending a single's ward. Yep, you heard me right, a SINGLE'S ward....so hilarious being married in a singles ward!!
 I have also been going to church at 8 pm and it only lasts 45 minutes!

Talk about awesome......! Alright, it was awesome for the first couple of weeks, now I just miss the 3 hour block and not working on Sunday. It's funny how the grass is always greener on the other side. (Oh, and this pic is of the Orlando Temple :)
